Routine Rustic to Mountain Marvel

This Park City remodel transformed a dated 1990s home into a warm, modern mountain retreat, blending organic textures, funky tile, and pops of color to create a space that feels fresh, personal, and rooted in its mountain surroundings. Through the collaboration of Blackdog Builders’ project management team, in-house carpenters, and principal designer Amanda Evans, the home was thoughtfully reimagined to reflect the clients’ desire for comfort, elegance, and mountain-town energy.

Design Highlights

Design highlights include handmade zellige tile, reclaimed wood mantels, rustic white oak cabinetry, Venetian plaster, and a showstopping ILVE Italian range in a custom blue-grey finish—paired with mixed metals and bold lighting choices. These elements come together to form a home that is refined yet full of character, balancing modern sensibilities with timeless warmth.

Remote Collaboration

Because the homeowners live out of state, the project was completed entirely remotely. Using our online construction software and collaborative design tools, our team provided weekly updates, renderings, mood boards, and digital plans—delivering a seamless, stress-free process from start to finish.
